Before I start...this pic was borrowed from Google and from toxel.com. There....that should cover my rear.....no pun intended...or is there? Mwah, ha, ha.

Anywhoo, as promised, dear readers, if there are any, here are some tips on how to save some of your hard earned buck-a-roonees...

1. Make your own coffee. With all the super efficient and quick to brew coffee systems out there, why wouldn't you? Think Keurig! "But the pods are so expensive!," you say? Ha, get a reusable Keurig pod thingy. Pennies saved!

2. Shop thriftfully...literally. Buy your clothes and other stuff from the Goodwill, the Salvation Army, church basements, and, of course, best of all....the ReStore! Some people get the willies over the idea of wearing used clothing, but do like I do! Wash and sanitize before wearing. Also, keep an eye out for discount cards (Goodwill) and for half price items. Many thrift stores color code their price tags and every day they designate a color to be half off!

3. Sell your stuff. Use apps like LetGo, Ebay, Craigslist, or even Amazon to sell your stuff. Got an ugly antique ashtray from Grandma's house like I do? Sell it! Then stash the moolah.

4. Coupons, bro. Sunday paper, Coupons.com, RetailMeNot.com, and more. Just Google "coupons" and see what you come up with. Here is a tip: unless the coupon indicates otherwise, you can probably double up with other coupons. Just make sure that they are two different coupons for the same product with different UPC codes. Oh yeah, check that they're not expired.

5. Clearance prices to watch. At Target, if the clearance price on the red sticker ends in an "8," then the price will drop again. If the price ends in a "4," then the price is the lowest it will go.

6. Amazon Prime! Seriously. Ok, Prime membership is like a hundred bucks a year, but if you shop online a lot, you save a serious amount of money of shipping costs when ordering from Amazon. Also, you may not have noticed, but many items on Amazon can be bought from independent sellers for far less with, usually gently used. This is a great way to get books, movies and CDs as well as other stuff. If you look under Amazon's price, you should see something that says, "used," or "available from these sellers." I have gotten lots of stuff for as little as one cent! Sah-weet!

There are seriously uncountable ways to save money out there. You just gotta start thinking outside the box and doing a little research. You'd be amazed what some people do to save money. Think foregoing toilet paper and using and reusing (after being washed, of course) rags. Uh yeah....saw that one of TV one time. That's a little, okay a lot, extreme for me, but you know, to each their own....
