Happy AmeriCorps Week!

Saturday was the first day of AmeriCorps Week 2016. I am proud to say that I can contribute towards raising awareness of the existence of AmeriCorps. Lots of people have heard of AmeriCorps but don't really know much about it. Whenever I ask someone what they know about AmeriCorps, I always get back "Well, it's like the Peace Corps but on American soil." This is partially true. I encourage all of you out there reading this to visit http://www.nationalservice.gov/ and learn more. While there I implore you to read about other service programs like Senior Corps.
